Why would anyone wish to paint buses, lorries, cars and trains?  The answer is simple: my wife won't let me paint gorgeous girls in the styles of Domingo or Vargas!!

I have three great loves, after my wife: music, cricket and transport.  It all came about just after the war when I was attending Sunday school.  I found the harmonies in the hymns intoxicating and I started to play piano and eventually studied church organ.  The church started a cricket team and the wonderful 'summer game' has been a passion of mine ever since.

We couldn't afford a fancy cricket pavillion so we aquired an old Leyland bus in which to change and keep the cricket tackle.  When rain stopped play we boys all had turns at sitting in the driver's cab and pretending to drive to Scarborough and back.  So my love of transport flourished and I've been painting off and on ever since that first encounter.

My other love apart from the above mentioned is most things Italian: food, wine, clothes, cars, football and in particular Puccini.

I was born in 1943 and plan to retire when I'm 90 - well, I need to keep you chaps happy with more paintings!!
