1930s Buses
The 1930s was a fascinating period in the history of passenger transport. There was much development of existing models and the introduction of many new models, the majority of which were soundly engineered and very well built. Hundreds of such chassis were re-bodied during the late 40s and early 50s and gave many more years of excellent service.
Technical advances in diesel engines and gearboxes led to more efficiency, power and reliability together with easier gear changing in busy city vehicles.
There were many more manufacturers during the 1930s, many of which have sadly disappeared.
